About Casa 20th Judicial District Volunteer Giving Events Contact

No child should stand alone -
When a child is hurt by the people who are supposed to protect them...  CASA Volunteers step in to ensure a child's voice is heard.

Our Mission - To provide a voice for and on behalf of abused and neglected children who might otherwise have no voice, for placement in a safe, permanent home.  We will accomplish our mission by recruiting, training and supervising volunteers to work within the court system as ‘officers of the court’ on behalf of these children.

Our Vision - Our vision is for every abused and neglected child in the 20th Judicial District to have a CASA volunteer.

Casa 20th Judicial District -
Helping children in Searcy, Van Buren and Faulkner counties in  Arkansas.

The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program was created in 1977 to make sure that the abuse and neglect that these children originally suffered at home doesn't continue as abuse and neglect at the hands of the system.

A CASA worker is a trained community volunteer who is appointed by a juvenile or family court judge to speak for the best interest of children who are brought before the court. The majority of a CASA volunteer's assignments are home placement cases where an abused and neglected child has been removed for protection from the care of his or her parents.
